  • Central Post Office – The largest post office in Vietnam was built by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel. This is a working post office where visitors can buy stamps, books, souvenirs and collector coin sets. Be sure to check out the hand-painted maps on either side of the post office’s interior walls.
  • City Hall / People’s Committee – At the end of Nguyen Hue street sits the magnificent office of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, which was completed in 1908. It remains one of the most stunning colonial monuments in the city. Be sure to visit the statue of Ho Chi Minh (Uncle Ho) on the median strip.
  • Notre Dame Cathedral – This must-see cathedral was built between October 1877 and April 1880. With the approval of the Vatican, it was named Notre Dame at ceremonies held on December 7 and 8, 1959. Its Neo-Romanesque architecture and two 40 sq m (431 sq ft) bell towers crown the Paris Commune Square where it is located.
  • Opera House – Built at the beginning of 1897 under an original architectural design by French architect Ferret Eugene, the Opera House was restored and renewed in 2005 to celebrate the 407th anniversary of the foundation of Saigon (1698 – 2005). Visitors here can enjoy various artistic entertainments such as singing, music, dancing and traditional and modern dramas, just a few steps from our hotel.
  • Reunification Palace – Formerly the Norodom Palace of the Indochina Governor General, then the Independence Palace of the Saigon Regime, the Reunification Palace was designed by Western-trained architect Ngo Viet Thu. Explore all of its amazing structure and scenery when visiting Saigon.
  • War Remnants Museum – Established in 1975, this museum focuses on the war with the United States and is filled with amazing exhibits from that era. A highlight is the “Requiem Photographic Exhibition” of pictures taken by photojournalists who lost their lives during the war. Outside, visitors will find an interesting collection of tanks and captured U.S. fighter planes.
